A million, billion, TRILLION.....

Can you count to a TRILLION?

I can't.

I resigned myself to the fact (roundabout two hundred-and-forty-seven..) that a trillion is a pretty big number.

Now, can you imagine 13 trillions?

As in $13 trn in funds (that neither you nor I could ever dream of seeing in one lifetime) spent on the credit crunch, to date. This is almost equal to the entire US budget (for one year) !!

I don't know if that comparison worked for you, but I'm still struggling to grasp the concept of a trillion -- erm.. 1 million x 1 million x 1 million................

Random fact:
One trillion seconds of clock time = ( 1012 sec)/(3.16 x 107 sec/yr) = 31,546 years!
