Work Nightmare No. 1…….. The VERY Bad Boss

Have you ever had to work with a nightmare boss?

I have, and believe me when I say that I seriously considered leaving my position just to avoid the day-to-day frustrations with said individual… but that wouldn’t have been very smart because then I’d be broke and living back home with my mom and teenage sisters… fun, fun!

MORALE of the STORY: Only the strong survive in the stiletto jungle... so you need to make sure your interests are being met at all times. Full stop.

Unfortunately, there are too many Nerdy Girls out there facing work nightmares due to managers and supervisors who lack the appropriate organizational, communication, or (sometimes) the basic social skills required to effectively achieve the organization’s goals. So what do you do when you find yourself in challenging situations like these?

Well, Suzy Welch provided Oprah.com a few pointers on the topic:
* Ask your boss for feedback on your performance to decide if you or he is problem
* If performance is acceptable, ask yourself if you want to work for bad boss
* Figure out if company is OK with bad bosses who deliver results
* Decide on an "emotional password" such as "Deliver and this will pass"

This is just the tip of the iceberg so if you want to read more feel free to check out the article in it’s entirety, here!
